Louis Theroux’s Weird Weekends
Louis Theroux’s Weird Weekends is a television documentary series, in which Louis Theroux gives viewers the chance to get brief glimpses into the worlds of individuals and groups that they would not normally come into contact with or experience up close. In most cases this means interviewing people with extreme beliefs of some kind, or just generally belonging to subcultures not known to exist by most or just frowned upon. It was first shown in the United Kingdom on BBC2. In 2001, Theroux was awarded the Richard Dimbleby Award for the Best Presenter BAFTA for his work on the series.

The Blue Planet
The Blue Planet is a BBC nature documentary series narrated by David Attenborough, first transmitted in the United Kingdom from 12 September 2001.
Described as “the first ever comprehensive series on the natural history of the world’s oceans”, each of the eight 50-minute episodes examines a different aspect of marine life. The underwater photography included creatures and behaviour that had previously never been filmed.
The series won multiple Emmy and BAFTA TV awards for its music and cinematography.
The series was produced in conjunction with the Discovery Channel. The executive producer was Alastair Fothergill and the music was composed by George Fenton.
David Attenborough narrated this series prior to presenting the next in his ‘Life’ series of programmes, The Life of Mammals, and the same production team created Planet Earth.
Long Island Medium
Long Island Medium is an American reality television series on TLC that debuted on September 25, 2011. Based in Hicksville, New York, the series stars Theresa Caputo as she claims to be a medium who can communicate with the deceased. The series follows her life as she juggles clients and her family. Caputo’s claims have been called fake by multiple sources, ranging from print publications like Wired Magazine to television news programs like Inside Edition. Both Caputo and TLC for have been criticized for profiting from what some consider a “charlatan” whose claims are “not true”.
